Lighting Upgrades
We have implemented substantial lighting upgrades to enhance the resort’s night skiing and snowboarding experience. New LED lighting fixtures have been installed on the loading and unloading terminals, while additional lighting for the ski runs is currently in progress. All the new lighting on the front side is in place. These upgrades will provide improved visibility for skiers and snowboarders, creating a more enjoyable nighttime experience.
Groomer Enhancements
To maintain dependably awesome slopes, We have invested in an additional Pisten Bully ParkPro 400. This new addition will ensure that the ski runs are always well-maintained, providing a smooth and enjoyable riding experience for all levels of skiers and snowboarders.
Five New Snowmaking Machines
To guarantee optimal snow conditions throughout the winter season, We have updated some of our snowmaking machines with the addition of five brand new SMI PoleCat snowmakers. These additional machines will allow us to produce snow more efficiently and effectively, ensuring that the slopes are covered in a substantial layer of snow even when Mother Nature is reluctant to help.
Lift Improvements
Here at Mount Kato we are committed to maintaining our lifts to the highest standards of safety and reliability. During the summer months, a new haul rope was installed on Lift Two in addition to conducting thorough maintenance and inspections on all lifts, ensuring that they are ready to operate smoothly and safely throughout the winter season. Many of the lifts have new load and unload ramps.
Rental Enhancements
In addition to the physical improvements to the resort, We have also enhanced our rental program to provide guests with the latest equipment and a seamless rental experience. We have expanded our rental fleet with 500 pairs of new HEAD boots to accommodate all ages and skill levels. Additionally, the rental process has been streamlined to make it easier and more convenient for guests to get on the slopes quickly and easily.
New Online Ticket Sales System
These summer improvements are just the beginning of our commitment to providing an exceptional guest experience. We are also excited to announce the launch of our new online ticket sales system, which features a revamped design, enhanced functionality, and a seamless integration with our website. The easy-to-use system allows guests to purchase lift tickets, season passes, and tubing passes with just a few clicks. This convenient online ticketing option will make it even easier for guests to plan their winter adventures at Mount Kato.
